With a downsized profile and incredible casting distance, the Heavy Surfer 90 combines two opposing attributes not usually found in plugs that are similar in size. Weighing in at one ounce, the Heavy Surfer 90 not only excels as a cast and reel bait for covering water, but also as a bottom hopping bait that responds well to hard aggressive pops of the rod tip where hits on the fall are common. The Heavy Surfer 90 is excellent for use on flats or the beach to chase California Halibut or striped bass, but its smaller profile lends itself as a good long distance casting option for chasing surf perch that aren’t relating to the breakers.  This anchovy-like profile is also an excellent choice for throwing it around boiler rocks for aggressive calico bass.
